Last night I found Henry lying on his castle with his eyes open, so I was quite worried and gently pet him with a finger. Turns out he was just asleep, he latched on without biting and we sat there for a bit just confused. He went about his day, and was really zooming up a storm on the NiteAngel.

Today he was in a make up mood, Henry was definitely worried I took it the wrong way. He demanded the taxi with lots of pawing, and after this little clip he spent a minute just circling me with little licks. It was so sweet, he called for the taxi back after.

I had a feeling he might do this, he's so polite:

Breakfast time has regained super serious status after a couple months of Henry snoozing in. I'm out of spots to set his food dishes, he keeps digging tunnels right under them. Might be time to break out another platform for it.

He still seems very healthy for his age, zooming at full speed without a problem. I'm really excited we're likely going to make his 3rd gotcha day

His new favorite treat is pumpkin seeds, he's not a big mealworm fan lately. Clothes piles are always top notch fun for him, he's currently having a ball on one I set up in the living room.

My maths isn't the greatest but ......... how come it's his third gotcha day if he's 2 years old?

2023, 2024, and now 2025! Your math is right, my best guess is still he turns 3 years old around April

Or am I doing it wrong and you don't celebrate the first one? I thought it counted

So the first one is the gotcha day ie when he arrived. Which would be after he was born So the following year would be his first birthday and his 2nd gotcha day. The year after would behis 2nd birthday and his third gotcha day - you're right! The gotcha day is always a year ahead of the birthday because the actual birthday is the day he was born, not his first birthday.

I think I need to lie down after that

Henry got up early today for a full adventure, I think the neighbors dog woke him but he asked to come out. He gave the camera a little investigation and also begged for more of his beloved pumpkin seeds. I tend to give him extra while he's off his mealworm kick, also been working in egg whites as a treat.

He is! Today he finally decided the whole house is safe and part of his territory, we're having a together day like we used to in just my room. It's great, he spends a lot of time on his play area and explores once in a while when he feels like it. He's also learned how to guilt trip me after unsuccessful begging for even more pumpkin seeds. After he realized I moved the bag, he sat there and looked as sad as possible while staring at me
