Grommits new cage

I don't think it's on the list actually! It's not on the unsafe list I mean and it's fine. I believe it's better if cooked. Normal raw potato is not good though.

Ah OK, I won't give him white potato, I'll cook him a tiny piece next week.
The list says not to give fresh or dried fruit, which type does that leave that they can have?

That's only for diabetes prone species and Syrians aren't diabetes prone, so they can have fruit In moderation - too much fruit or veg can give them diarrhoea as well.

Lovely to hear how much Grommit is enjoying his new cage & busy making tunnels he must be loving it in there.

I give sweet potato occasionally but always cook it first, I usually just steam it lightly.

Looks like you have to put it together! My last one arrived assembled. So a couple of things with assembling that wheel - the rough part of the track goes on the inside. When you've fitted the track into one half and pressing the other half onto it, you need to press it together really firmly, till it won't go any further - and check there are no gaps on the outside of the joining strip

I was about to ask for help then I spotted this. I'm struggling, there is a gap, I'll show you x

There should be a transparent plastic piece both ends slide into where that gap is, it joins the ends before you push it into the back plate.

When I get all the orange in it the clip starts pushing itself off, its so frustrating

It can take some effort to get it in sometimes, keep trying & it shsould go in.
