When the Chickies could be off heat I transferred them outside to the big chicken run. I had other chickens at the time so I partitioned off their own little area for them until they were ready to integrate with the big ones.

Here they are basking in the sunshine 😁

My Chicken run in my last house was my pride & joy. We added to it over the years until ii was like a Chicken Palace 🥰IMG_0765.jpegIMG_0764.jpegIMG_0762.jpeg

When Chicken pops her clogs I may get a few rescues. I can’t introduce new chickens to her at her age cos they would most likely bully her. They can be a bit cruel sometimes 😳
When chickens decide to pick on one they don't stop it's horrible the only way is to rehome the victim so pleased chicken is living out her days in peace

So true. Have had a couple of upsets like that, over the years 🥺

The chicken palace is amazing! It is so cute to see the way the little chickens are huddled together.

The chicks look so chilled in the sun!
Love the chicken palace, that really is amazing.

Fantastic chicken palace. I like the spanish sign on the front too! It's really nice to see chicks outside/in their mesh house, enjoying the sunshine. It must have been hard to leave the chicken palace behind when you moved. Or did you take it with you?

No Maz we had to leave it. Idea was to get a similar one in this house but actually it is totally different. But Chicken seems happy in there 😁

Sooooo…. Had 5 chicks…. 💓

Very early on one started to look different from the others. Standing more upright and impressive facial bits (comb - on top / wattles - underneath beak).

Enter….Alfie B! (Sorry getting carried away here 🤣).

At 10 weeks he just sounded like he was clearing his throat. At 12 weeks he was fully cock-a-doodle-dooing all over the place. Starting at 4:30 in the morning as it was summer 😖.

Next door neighbour came to see us : ‘Roza - can deal with chickens… but Cockerel - he has to go’!!!!

Here he is:

He went to a farm Rainbow. I texted the farmer a couple of times to see how he was but got no reply!

Hopefully he lived the rest of his days with lots of girlfriends 😍x

Aaw, he is beautiful! Can't wait for the next chapter to find out what happened to Alfie B.
