The word "coarse" does worry me. Albert still loves digging in his cardboard chips that I cut up myself. But I thought he might like something different. I'll keep looking. I'm in no hurry.I'm not sure. Beech chips are generally ok, but it does say "coarse" and there are no reviews. Providing they're not splintery they should be fine. If you got a bag and they weren't fine, I'm sure they'd give you a refund.

Thank youI’m not sure if there are different grades or not, they look similar to these which I’m pretty sure are fine for hams but it’s hard to tell from photos.
