That is what confused me. Sorry Albert. I should have paid closer attention. I thought they only contained pure meat. Oops.Putting the words "Pure meat" on the packet is probably a bit misleading.

I had no idea! Surely they are okay if in an airtight container.Oh. Use within 14 days! Why, didn't think that dried food could go off.

Does Orko hide them because they've gone off?I feed one a week but Orko just seems to hide his. Hopefully Albert will like them.
Thats a good point! I thought they would be okay in an airtight container. When I first opened them he ignored it for a while.Does Orko hide them because they've gone off?![]()
I've decided to give them a miss. It's not cost effective when I've only got Albert. I won't use them all up before they go off.Thats a good point! I thought they would be okay in an airtight container. When I first opened them he ignored it for a while.
I keep mine for months with no problems at all, I only break off a tiny piece which usually gets eaten at once rather than hidden in the cage. How much and how often can I feed Albert them? I'm concerned about the 14 day used by.
Yes, it is. I give mine red millet and buy it loose in a bird shop. Didn't know Vitakraft sells red millet. That's a good find.Is this millet hamster safe?
