Raffy (Syrian Hamster)

Raffy had other ideas last night. I got up just to put his food out and he was pestering at the door to come out. So I let him out for 10 minutes and kept my distance!
 
I thought I had sneaked down just to pop some food in as well.
 
No way would Raffy get up before 10pm ha ha! I fed him a bit late due to being in bed.
 
It’s getting lighter in the afternoons/early evenings and Raffy has started getting up earlier - hurrah! It’s still 11pm to 11.30pm but better than midnight or 12.30am!

I’m still in bed most of the time at the moment getting over the virus, but I do get up late in the evening to let him out for a bit. And keep my distance.

That is really lovely. You will be able to see more of him. :)

Sorry to hear you are still poorly and stuck in bed.
 
I’m getting there but the evenings are the worst! Temperature flares up. Raffy only gets a short time out of the cage. But it is nice to see him up and about and rocking in his wheel. It has been a bit milder too so that might be to do with it as well.

Raffy is such a nosey hamster! If there's anything going on he's straight into it. Tonight I was unwrapping a parcel and had it standing on the floor while I removed brown paper from the outside. Raffy was straight over and sniffing and noseying the end of the parcel. So I left the brown wrapping paper on the floor and he had a good rummage around and sniff of it. Later I was picking up the computer cable to plug into the laptop and Raffy was straight over noseying at the cable and fussing round it. You think he'd be scared and run away from strange things - but no he wants to be doing whatever I'm doing :) Which is quite sweet really.

Oh and I have a fully working laptop again. Fingers crossed.
 
Simple things can be a lot of fun! It is lovely that he wants to be with you & check out what you’re up to.
 
Lovely update on Raffy. Made me giggle 🤭 Albert is just the same. Especially with my handbag. You can see where Albert has attacked my handbag because I've not left it open for him to have a nosey 🐹👜👃🏼
