The playpen area is still all set up under the coffee table. He was still coming back to it for a run in the wheel most evenings but doesn't bother now - ignores all toys on the floor as well. He sort of looks a bit pensive - climbs onto his saucer then goes off somewhere again. It's like - I miss this old playground, I want to do that again but don't need to any more. Maybe I should just put the toys away now.

I'd keep the toys on the floor. He may use the saucer again when the novelty of freeroaming wears off a bit.

It was a bit of a dark corner to get a photo but did snap him snuggling and exploring this blanket. This is the blanket that was blocking the door previously so I'm not sure if he's exploring it to see if it still leads to a door, or because it smells familiar and he's enjoying the snuggliness. Not very sharp unfortunately as dim light and enlarged. He does have a kind of cute baby faced snuggly enjoyment look there rather than his usual maverick cheeky look.

I’d be inclined to leave the playpen stuff there for a while at least, he may want to go back to it sometimes & it might be nice for him just to have the familiar stuff there even when he’s off on an adventure elsewhere.

It was really funny lol. He is learning about plastic bags. He later jumped from the box to the edge of another cardboard box, which had a plastic bag round it and couldn't get a grip as the plastic slid down the box - it was the look on his face. And he tried to grab onto the box a few times before giving up and slithering down the side. I think maybe I need to get rid of the plastic in that area.

He is still curious about the open door. The blanket is there, the wall is there, but the door isn’t. But there is still a barrier beyond the door. As he associates the edge of the door with escape, I can only assume he thinks if he climbs up that bit of wall, he might be able to get out somehow! He did actually get up a bit higher than that - it’s a lumpy wall and he is in the corner where he can use the corner edge to keep a grip - like Spider-Man lol

I just found Raffy running around the kitchen - on the far side of the board! I have no idea how he got out! There are no gaps. I can only assume he managed to get over the top somehow. Very mysterious - I think I would have heard it if he'd taken a run at it and pulled himself over. Looks like I need a taller board! He is getting up a bit earlier each night now, which is good. It was 11.30pm tonight.
