I've bought these before and they are safe but were ignored by my hamsters. I use them as little steps.

The sisal chew toys are safe - if you’re worried about long strings and what they’re made of (to hang it by?) jist snip them off
. My hamsters tend to ignore such things as well but they do brighten the place up! Plus I’ve found hamsters can still object if you remove it - they like things being there as always even if they don’t chew it.As you have a female she may just destroy it lol!

The sisal rope wrapped round it is safe to chew. Presumably the strings are the same stuff? Sisal string or rope is safe to chew - other string isn't as it's cotton. My concern over hanging things by strings sometimes is they could get caught in the strings and break a leg or something. Eg if they jump from a shelf and get caught on it, or if they happen to climb to the roof and monkey bar across the roof and fall. The kind of thing they do at night! So it's probably best as a floor toy, or tied so it hangs close to the side of the bars rather than hanging from the top in the middle or something . That's the other reason people have deeper substrate - to cushion any falls! You'd be surprised what they get up to at night when we're asleep! I have a nightcam and watch the videos sometimes.

I have a seagrass carrot chew for my hamster and he ignores it. I left it in his cage and he buried it so he did not have to see it!

My experience with hamsters is they ignore all toys - unless they taste nice or they think it might be an escape route! That's why tunnels and hides are popular - they like those, because it's their instinct to be protected from above and be inside something when they're out and about - or under something. But strangely they like to see familiar things are still in their place. They might ignore them but it's still part of their familiar territory. I once took a wooden melon slice chew out that Charlie used to ignore and he had a major hissy fit. So I put it back again!

that’s niceHe did not like it at all. He likes whimzees and apple sticks though.
