I think you’re the one that deserves the thanks for all the effort. I am glad you managed to resolve it. The ‘show us your cage’ thread is a valuable resource, that shows new owners who find their way here what is needed to properly care for their hamster.

Actually we should promote that thread more - it gets forgotten about - I don't think anyone has added their cage set ups to it for ages!

It is such an amazing resource. It shows so many possibilities for good care, and the comments and advice after are also really helpful.

I was going to add my new build, which is almost finished, but after all this, I’ve been offered the chance of a Duprasi……. So i think I’d better put it in the other pets section. To be fair, enclosure needs are similar. Honestly, you couldn’t make this up!

A duprasi sounds wonderful - again you don't hear much about those and they are fascinating. If you get one, I hope you'll make a thread for the duprasi! So will you still have a hamster as well?

Unfortunately, between the 5 spinning wheels, large loom and every wall having shelves of books or boxes of fibre and yarn, the only space for an enclosure is the coffee table…… so it’s one small fluffy at a time . When I win the lottery, I’ll get a bigger house, and loads of pets
