I see what you mean about your yellow flag iris being a little later to flower. Ours is past that best.
It’s a terrific front jungle!

Iris's are so pretty and yellow ones too 😍

When my precious Maestro (see avatar) was buried, I chose this lovely plant for his pot and it flowered beautifully in 2020.
The extreme heat of last summer was bad enough but this winter weather has been deadly for some plants.

Now the plant - pinks I think, is frail and struggling. We are caring for it and patience is needed but I do hope that it will gain strength and tiny new growth is hopeful.

That was a really beautiful idea to buy such a beautiful plan were you buried Maestro. I really hope the plant can get back to health again.

I do hope Maestro‘s plant will grow back & thrive again Coco, they are tough plants.

Such a lovely plant, looks as though it's going to be ok. There are quite a lot of new shoots which is promising. Maybe see if you could take one off to regrow in another pot, so you could return it at a later stage if needed.

That's such a shame but it might grow back and maybe you could add some smaller plants in there as well? Charlie's flowerbed went much the same way. It's still there but Rabbits decimated all the plants two years ago. I've let it become more naturally overgrown now with the shrubs nearby.

Consulting my H on that one. He says we will go and look and see what is possible.
Thank you Zara and everyone else for your encouragement.
It has been leaving me feeling a bit sad and I go out daily to check.

Can’t complain about H’s willingness to help. He had already been thinking about it.
He selected 2 cuttings and they are now in their baby pots with hormone rooting powder to help.
So fingers crossed. If this doesn’t work I think I will buy another plant to fill in.

I cut this clematis right down early spring and it came back so much stronger.

Foxgloves seem to come out of nowhere and there are some leaves growing that weren't there last year. I'm very curious to find out what they are.

Your clematis is looking really good Beryl, I love foxgloves, they do self seed everywhere & you never quite know where they’ll turn up!

I just screenshotted your large leaves with my plant identification app Beryl, and it just says "Common Foxglove"! So the large leaves probably belong to the Foxgloves.
