Oh Nibbles, you are, well, full of character. But I have a feeling that Mum wouldn't like you any other way. The poop spitting story is so funny. I think perhaps he was thinking this one is no good, take it away Mum, it can go with all the others you got out the other day Oh yes, I know the feeling of being groggy the next day due to hamster related matters I can just imagine him rattling the door in a temper. Nibbles, you are very cute, but you look cuter when you are happy

Yes I do love him and he’s got such a funny nature, but I wish he would cooperate better in the evenings you should see him turn his back on me with an attitude, duh
I am outsmarted by a 164 gram ball of fluff!
I was so happy with the wheel pinching option, it worked so well…. for a few days

It’s so much cooler today, my office view is perfect for bird and squirrel watching. Every now and then we get a raccoon

I found a few sweet trinkets in the scrap metal today, an old lady bought them. They seem to be silver (I gave them a quick clean up) it’s a shame for them to be scraped, so I will add more clutter to my over loaded cupboard

Glad Nibbles is fine sbd using his sand bath . I used to use J R Farm sand and always found it fine - maybe it’s just a bad batch?

It seems they are real silver, I gave them a very good clean and usually the plated ones start to flake. You wouldn’t believe what people throw away. We got tons of things stacked away. My boss is a hoarder.

Maybe I got a duff batch… it’s awfully dusty. I will try to wash it. I should dry easy in this weather

No it’s fine - it’s nice to have it started again. It’s like a week in a life and it’s interesting . For this thread, it is just a week though, so if you fancy doing a different one at some point it would probably go under the miscellaneous section

I had thought about starting it up again last month as well as it was lambing time and I used to do that month - but - we don’t have sheep any more! We’ll just two and three lambs this year.

Okay then I will continue for this week if it’s okay. I fully enjoyed reading Socks mums blog and thought it’s a good idea.

Today I just spent the afternoon cleaning and a parcel arrived for Nibbles: i ordered the three room mch as I am determined to try the little toilet. I didn’t consider there would be no room in the two room house
But having an extra cage the two room house will not be wasted, I am setting up an emergency cage in the cellar just in case temperatures rise extremely in summer. The cellar is nice and cool but very clean more like an extra room. I would place him there during the day but only in an emergency (well over 40 degrees).
The weather has really been extrem this may.
I am
Making tuna sandwiches for tea ️ and have cleaned the little trinkets and found a space for them.
I would like to build another book nook this summer, I hope to find one on offer. Knitting is not possible because my hand is still healing and drawing the same.
I need some kind of craftwork to do it’s so peaceful and calming.

I adore sheep and lambs they are so gentle animals. I always wanted to be a shepherd

I was lucky when I worked at the vet, we mainly delt with the ewes

I am so happy to experience that little Nibbles trusts me the neighbours next door are sitting outside drinking beer and the women are laughing and screeching at full volume he panicked a wee but, so I sat down next to the playpen and calmly explained that people are rather loud when they drink their beer and he’s not to worry. He came up to me listening and started eating his yogurt drop. He went from scared to chill immediately. It’s nice to know he trust me so much and that’s made my day. I hope it won’t spoil it when I steal the broccoli he took down in his nest but that can’t stay there in this weather…
