Toby is over 2 years old now but still doing well.
He did have some trouble with a blocked scent gland recently. I wasn't able to hold a wet compress to try to soften - he just wouldn't stay still. But I did have success with dropping some diluted glycerin (which has a softening and lubricating effect) on the gland and leaving him to groom it off himself.

That is a clever idea using glycerine. Their scent glands can get quite grungy. I can't believe he's over two years old!
