I don’t think they often ignore the main source of protein, it’s usually the more bland lower fat seeds they tend to ignore if anything.
With a mix like this though with no animal protein or soya the protein will come from a combination of seeds & grains which together provide complete protein so it can still be a problem if they ignore something that you may not think of as protein.

I think the mixerama one has mealworms, and dried shrimps in though. The Rodipet one seems to rely on the soya I think.

Agree I don’t think they would ignore the roasted soya beans :)
The mixes that would concern me are the ones that rely on things like adding crickets to make up the protein as some hamsters wouldn’t eat those.

The mealworms & shrimps will definitely provide some of the protein but quite a bit will also be plant protein.
I agree about the add your own protein ones as they don’t even give any idea of how much to add & most people wouldn’t know.

My partner took a lovely picture of Sprite today after he gave Sprite a mealworm.

That is a lovely photo, he looks very pleased with his mealworm 😍

That’s a beautiful photo! He always looks content and looks lovely against that dark background.

Such a cute boy and nibbling his mealworm snack before anyone can take it from him!

Sprite, this is photo evidence of you getting a treat. I'm surprised you let this happen 😉

Sprite looks so happy with his treat, such a lovely picture.

That is a fantastic photo, caught the best of the little grabbies and munch! Don't know if it's a thing over there, but in the states hardware stores often sell giant bags of dried mealworms for cheap in the bird section. You could get one and be set for life, affordable protein & treat

I buy Sprites mealworms from Etsy. I bought a huge back before he arrived and there is still lots left. 😊

His little face in that one on the left, looking up at you is so adorable.

They are beautiful photos :-) He's a lovely little boy.

I really love it when Sprite stretches. It is just adorable. Here is Sprite grooming before going back to bed. :)

I love watching him come out of that tube :-). It’s a big hit with him! Like the bit at the end where he zips over to the top entrance and down it :-)

His morning stretch is adorable, and I love the picture with him holding his paws together. He has such good manners!
