Thank you. The description says it is suitable for dwarf hamsters but once it arrived I wondered if it may be too deep. I think it is either 14cm or 16cm deep.I wondered about that as well! How deep to have the sand for a dwarf hamster - but I don't think it's a big issue as they can dig - maybe as long as his head can be out of the top if his feet are at the bottom. That's what I went with.
I wouldn't worry about moving substrate around. The main thing is not to change the layout too much. You mentioned maybe having to move the wheel. I think that would be ok as long as the house stays where it is.
Will you have to lose some other items to fit the new ones in?
Yes, I do not want to change the layout too much but will have to in order to add these items. I wanted to keep the sand bath he has as well and try to add the two other items but I am unsure if it will work. So I was thinking to loose the aspen dig box, ecco earth dig box and possible the small sand bath. He will not need the aspen and ecco earth digging boxes as I can put the substrate in the MCH dig box.
I will be sure to leave his MCH as that is perfect where it is but it is the other items I am unsure of as I will have to actually put the items in because I am unable to visualise it myself.
