Thank you so much.We all make mistakes Rainbow. Please don't be hard on yourself. You've sorted it now and Sprite is fine.![]()
Thank you.Just shows what a good investment the camera has been and your regular watching of footage has proved hugely beneficial. Some tweaking of the set up and all is well in SpriteLand. That is what matters.
Sprite does not like his playpen and will just stay a few minutes. I tried with him again today. He is very easy to handle and I can scoop him up and hold him. They all try to get to the top if they can! I think a hamster's raison d'etre is to see if they can get out at night. Sounds like he is definitely ready for out of cage timeAll except robos maybe. Although Robos can climb bars sometimes. Some of them just scale the wheel to get to the top even if you don't have hides on top of houses. I doubt he could do that though as the wheel would spin round.
He is letting you know where to put thingsHe sounds like a real character.
If I put out food he will pouch it and then want to go back so maybe he is like Eddie and Lilly.Unless he's like Lilly and Eddie and needs a reason to explore, food
Great ideas. I will make him some.Sprite may like a dig box with food hidden in the playpen or a maze made from cardboard boxes and cardboard tubes. Or make one of those lovelý puzzles you made for Orko and put them in the playpen.
They never cease to throw a curved ball glad he's fine and you are onto that little trick nowI watched the camera footage from last night and to my horror I saw Sprite managed to climb up his log hide that is on his MCH and reach the lid. He held on to the lid and then jumped down. Later on he tried this again but monkey barred a little bit before falling back down. I feel terrible. I had no idea he could climb that hide and reach the lid. I have swapped it for something else.
He appears well as I have spent time with him this morning and he is active, eating and drinking. Poor Sprite. What a stupid place to put the hide. I am used to Orko who was too small to do such things.
Thank you. They sure are surprising! They never cease to throw a curved ball glad he's fine and you are onto that little trick now
