He's really enjoying that :-) He blends in well with the penguins!

Sprite wanted to go in his playpen this morning. He has not worked out that he needs to go on top of his snuffle mat to get seeds and he tries to go underneath it. I pointed it out to him to show him to go on top. Later on he ignored the cork step to go into his dig box. I put my hand out to guide him and he gave me an angry look as if to say, 'I can do it myself!'

Always makes me smile the way a hamster will choose the more difficult route and not the one offered by the humans. But what do we know....

That little video of Sprite made me laugh 🤣 Especially when you pointed to the seeds in his snuffle mat and he just walks off.

Sprite: don't you know it's rude to point 🐹

He really does look like he was saying that!

That’s typical lazy hamster - rather than go a slightly long way round to climb up the log he will do it the hard way!

This looks ideal I want to make continues length to partition a room for free roaming does it fit snug to the floor I wouldn't be able to use the floor mat also would have to be able to break into sections to store under sofa when not in use what do you think having put one together

It has little plastic connecters so it is not flush to the floor. I am not sure if Pete could get underneath them. Sprite has not tried to squeeze himself under so far. I think it is a nice playpen for a dwarf hamster. I sit in it with him so I do not use the floor bits. Instead of using them for a floor, I used them to make the playpen bigger. You can open it and pop it under the sofa but there will be the connectors so I am not sure if that would be an issue when it comes to putting it under the sofa.

Thank you for this information I think I will give it a miss mainly because if Pete finds even the smallest gap he will stick his nose under it and try to heave it up until he can get his body under or through it the cardboard I use goes right to the floor after saying that I have to what him ever second of he free roaming time he already has a playpen which he seems to enjoy time in and it's Pete proof in case I have to leave the room

Brilliant video of Sprite enjoying his playtime so independent "I'll do it my way " sprang to mind 😀

I spent almost 10 minutes making this puzzle for Sprite only for him to find the treat instantly. He looks like he cannot believe I wasted his time.
