I thought that too. I think an oral antibiotic sounds a good idea. Luckily the metacam will help any pain.

It is still a bit early to tell if the meds she’s on will work, hopefully they will or if not the vet will get a better idea of how to proceed when you go back.

So sorry to hear she's still a bit wobbly. I hope the vet can help. Assume she's finished the ear drops now?

She is on them until next saturday so fingers crossed they start to help soon

Oh still a while to go then - fingers crossed. I saw Saturday and thought Saturday has gone lol.

Screamed at me a little about being woken up this morning, but was such a good little hammy afterwards

Aww, she is just so cute. Do you think there is any improvement with the wobbling?

That is a good sign. You are doing a great job of giving her medication.

She does seem a bit stressed, but looks like improvement - fingers crossed. I'm sure she will settle soon and hope the meds work. I tend to hide or scatter lots of extra treats to forage for if they're a bit stressed and it sometimes distracts them a bit.

Day five of ear drops and we're hitting robo levels of bad hair-do!

Aw poor thing - she is doing her own thing but she is jerky isn't she? I hope the ear drops start to work soon.

yeah she's still wobbly... a couple of nights ago she was using her wheel, only at a slow pace but was managing to walk in a straight line on it. If it was a stroke rather than an ear infection she may never get full mobility back but as long as she's still able to keep her independence I think she'll be ok.

Just been doing some work on the stilts of her wooden hide. Lowered it a little and covered over the bit of the leg that she has chewed. Hoping to add it back in when she is done needing to be woken up for meds every day.

Last day of meds today. She is able to get around a lot better. Still a bit wobbly and she does spin when I move her and she gets disorientated. I have given her some more stuff back in her enclosure. Still a bit bare in places but she has deep bedding again and it should give her more to do.

The middle substrate box is new. Might give her the big one back at some point but this is fine for now.
