I recieved the sandbath, and it is huge!
I also ordered the Rodipet natural Bimsi sand (this one without sepiolite https://www.drdknaagdierwinkel.nl/en/bimsi-bath-sand-natural-3-liter.html ) , to give it a try (maybe for in the small rodipet sandbath i already have?) and i ordered the exoterra yellow desert sand,(this one: https://www.drdknaagdierwinkel.nl/en/desert-sand-red-copy.html?id=288986252 ) maybe this is good for the large getzoo sandbath? Will see how she likes it the next time i change the cagelayout.

They look great! I am looking forward to seeing what she thinks of her new things.😊

which sand is best for bathsand use?
I also still have the Beaphar sand.
And which one would you use in the small Rodipet bath, and which in the large Getzoo bath?

I would just experiment. How about the dessert sand in the large Getzoo bath? There is no right or wrong. 😊

I don’t think it would matter too much which sand you use for which sandbath, agree with Rainbow that you could just experiment & see what your ham enjoys the most.
I have used that Rodipet sand although it’s not the one I use regularly & the hamsters seemed to like it & it worked well enough for bathing & as a toilet.

Is the dessert sand also suitable for bathing?
What is your experience withe the dessert sand? And habe any of you tried the Rodipet Bimsi sand ? How did you like it ?

The desert sand is fine for bathing, a lot of people use that exclusively now so it’s pretty well tested as good for everything.
I think I said I have used the Bimsi sand, I haven’t used it that much but it was fine when I had it.

I am not sure. She doesn't seem to usethe reptile or Bimsi sand as much as she used the Beaphar chincilla sand.
I do see her in the large sanbox with reptile sand, but the small sandbox with Bimsi sand is ignored.
I do not see her use the new sands for bathing. How do i know if she uses it? Can i tell by looking at her fur?

Am I right in thinking you have a camera set up to watch her? As long as she is using one of the sand baths that is fine. I really would not worry about that.

Maybe it's because there's more than one sand area. She maybe just chose one to use.

It could just be that she prefers the larger sandbox, it’s hard to know with different sand in the boxes if it’s the sand or the sand bath.

Hey what’s your opinion about this sand?

I had this sand for a while, but found it started to smell quickly, so i don't use it anymore.

Urine smell? I’m fine at changing it if it’s smells (not in our case since our hammy urinates inside a ceramic hideout in the sand box and it’s fine just cleaning this hideout). Also, our bag is 4,5 kg so even I change it often it would lasts for a lot of time.

It's safe to use :)
