Raffy (Syrian Hamster)

Maybe Raffy thought it was Saturday night though! :ROFLMAO:

Ah very perceptive - he wants to look smarter than Pip!

Raffy has a new way of getting my attention now, when he wants to come out. He has discovered that his coloured bendy stick ramp over his house can be lifted up and down a bit. It's screwed to the bars at the top but then just bends down - I bend it up and down when I need to take his house roof off.

So he gets hold of the bottom end in his teeth and bangs it up and down on the house roof!

That is very good of Albert. He would need a lot of patience as Raffy is a bit of a diva when it comes to touching his hair :ROFLMAO:. However he may appreciate a fellow hamster who is an expert in doing hair, rather than a human's hand!

I gave the hamsters their Easter treats last night, even though it's not yet Easter Sunday :) . Here is Raffy with his demented looking Easter chick treat.

Thank you. He had a good bit of free roaming after that, once he had stashed his hoard :-) Most of it goes in his house but he puts some special things in the little ceramic hide on his shelf. There is definitely treat organisation and priority! Something extra exciting he will look indecisive - between running down his tube to eat it straight away, or running up to the pot to put it for safe keeping. These were just "ordinary" treats!

Raffy & the demented chick really made me laugh!
He obviously appreciated the treats so that was a hit 😍

Raffy liked the demented chick. I like it too. How exactly did you make it? I need an egg box.

I just cut two round egg placement pieces out of the egg box and put one on top of the other. But with some egg boxes, they're not exactly round at the edges for cutting out a clean round shape - if that makes sense! I'm sure you'd do it better though! The ears (if chicks have ears) and beak were just bits of yellow cardboard. The eyes are pumpkin seeds poked through a hole. Which is why the expression looks a bit freaky ha ha.

Raffy went for the eye first! The easy bit - a pumkin seed poking out.

They could make little treat things even if not turned into chicks.

I can't wait to see your hamsters enjoying those gorgeous egg treats!

Chicks don’t have ears no, I did wonder about those bits but it’s art so anything goes 😆
