Oh I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you can send them back for a refund. To be honest, if you don't mind a tiny bit of diy, the easiest and cheapest solution is just to glue dowel legs on :-) I used to do that before you could get stilts for houses :) It also means you can make the legs whatever length you want.

I have some photos of how I used to do it somewhere and will try and find them. But you just need something like this

Dowels £4.95

And cut them to the length you want. They are easy to cut with a very small saw - I have a tiny saw like this that cuts them - although a normal small saw would be easier.

Mini saw

However to glue them on you need really strong, non toxic wood glue. Some of us find that ponal glue is the best - it's the one the germans use. It smells of nothing and is unbelievably good! But it's not cheap to buy. However a bottle lasts years! Although I notice they have a very small bottle that's cheaper now. Technically it dries in about 5 minutes but I leave it overnight to set hard.

Ponal express

Assuming you already have a saw, or access to one, it just means buying the dowels and glue.

Off to try and find the photos!

I've found the solution, it was my bad, I ordered the wrong ones but in the same "Amazon" link there were the correct ones, you can delete this post, I didn't know how to do it, sorry!!!

Found them :-) The photos are on this page/thread here

As you can see, what I did is glue them to the sides of the house to give them something to hold onto and a firm base to keep them securely glued on. What that means is you need to add the height of the house to the length of legs you want, before cutting the dowels! So if you wanted the legs to be 20cm long and the house was 10cm tall, there would be no need to cut the dowels at all! As they are 30cm dowels. What I've sometimes done also, if I wanted 25cm legs and the house was 10cm tall, was only glue the dowels half way down the front/sides of the house. They still stick firm.

The easiest way is to glue them on one side first with the house on it's side and the legs on the top side and put a book on them to hold them in place until dried. Then when they are set next day, turn the house round and do another side. And so on.

Ah ok - glad you found how to do it! I'll leave the post anyway as it might be useful for others!
