Could be that they were replaced with the papaya and peanut cookies.
I think they were as I cannot see them on ebay any more. What a shame. They seem very popular with hamsters. Orko loved them and he only has a third of one left.

I just checked Jolleys and pet planet. It says that they were discontinued.

Maybe they got negative feedback about them. Pity they do not make any other ones without fruit.

I wonder if there is scientific evidence that giving dwarf hybrids fruit in small quantities would lead to diabetes considering their short, average life expectancy.

Good question. Maybe there is a study somewhere. I imagine fruit could also cause a sugar rush so perhaps not ideal to feed for other reasons too.

I think it's best avoid fruit content in food with hybrids. Some owners have talked about giving a very rare blueberry for example but generally fruit isn't good. I don't think I'd risk it in a chew stick as you'd never know how much they'd get. (Especially if they hoarded a lot of it).

He's enjoying that! He's a lovely colour.

Aww Otto’s loving that cheese, he looks adoroable.

The odd bit of fruit shouldn’t do any harm for dwarf hams once in a while but really it’s best to try to keep blood sugar levels stable & not give anything that would cause a sharp increase, I do give a blueberry once in a while but otherwise avoid anything with higher sugar levels.

I'd rather not chance it with Albert. He's happy having fresh veg. 🐹🌽🥕🫑🫛

It's so heartwarming to see a unwanted hamster happy and contented 🐹💕

Otto has a dodgy/sticky eye which i noticed soon after he moved in hence suspected he's older than i was told. The eye takes a while to open up completely. Last night i went to get a cotton pad and water to bathe it but it was fully open by the time i came back. It doesn't bother him and doesn't look unhealthy. I'm contemplating whether to take him to the vet or bathe it as and when needed. I'm inclined to bathe it and wait and see but take him to the vet should it get crusty or weepy.

Aw Otto is adorable. I think he looks like he has gained some weight.

His eye doesn’t sound like too much of a concern yet, I think I’d do the same & go with bathing if necessary & see how it goes.

Great. Thank you.
Rosewood say they were discontinued in 2021 and replaced with 'plant based' peanut and papya. I did say they are unsuitable for dwarf hamsters but no response to that yet.
