Ordered this for Mr Chubbs and it just arrived today. I have to pick it up tomorrow so I haven't put It together yet. Has anyone else got one of these? Is it good for Syrians? It's supposed to be large enough. I think he'll really like it. I've got him back on track using his sand as a litter box so that's a relief! Nothing new happening with the little guy. He loves him a little bit of raspberry and is very good about being held. He likes to try to burrow into my elbow :) I changed his cage up a bit and made the coconut fiber deeper and he's much more interested in digging in it now. Was out helping my friend with his horses the other day. They tolerate me and my silly pictures!

I think I must get one for Socks, it's very cute watching them sleep! It looks very comfortable! I think a 5cm diameter is Syrian sized. Your horse friends are amazing. They must be sturdy all weather horses. If you have carrots, you must be popular there!

That does look nice, I couldn’t read the bit about the hole size but I think 7cm is usually recommended for Syrians.
Love the horse! It still looks very cold there.

It looks great - he'll love that. Just check the entrance hole is big enough. In case it's dwarf sized. About 7cm for Syrians. 5cm for dwarfs. The horses are gorgeous!

They have long winter coats and often I'll see them out in the weather at -30. They're crazy haha

Here's Chubbs in his new digging box. He's currently going mental with excitement :) I'm trying to figure out if I need a touch more material in the box or less. I have a fear of him digging away and then not being able to reach the hole to get out but he literally as I watched power lifted himself out of there because he dug too far on the hole side so it wasn't deep enough for him to easily climb out of. I will put a bit more in and keep an eye on him. I think I'm just being paranoid but I don't want anything to happen to the little guy!

Hahaha he's right back in it! So happy! What other types of material could I put in there? Right now it's a mix of coconut fiber dirt stuff and some of his bedding. I don't know about doing sand as it's kind of heavy and he uses sand as his litter box so I'd rather avoid sand. Maybe some moss?

He's having great fun creating his dig box home! Light is probably good for ventilation. I wonder if cork granules would work. Meadow hay could be good too.

These boxes are great, I must get one for Socks!

It's lovely to hear he's enjoying his dig box. I think the substrate you have sounds fine.
