Same here and a bra it’s still 34 degrees outside 27 inside. I am melting
The dehumidifier is going back, it was heating the room up, that’s all I need

That’s great we are getting a storm on Sunday, tomorrow the same as today! 35 degrees and wind

I have made up my mind, I am getting an ac… this is just the start of summer
At least then it will rain for weeks

My annual summer holiday these last three days remind me of my one and only holiday in Turkey
Extrem heat
Stomach bug
Ear infection
Loss of appetite
Sleepless sweaty nights

Over crowded over chlorinated pool (missed out)
Greasy food (missed out)

I keep wondering what it's like in a country that has about six weeks of summer or spends all winter in the dark with heavy snow. I am thinking, good holiday destination

I have just found the little midget that bit my ankles last night, I gave it a friendly hug (squeeze)

28 degrees and Nibbles is out. I wanted to leave him in tonight but he wasn’t having it. He is taking it easy and I placed cool pads all round the playpen and cold stales inside.
He is having a small nap on the wheel, his bed stank rather bad so at least that is nice and clean for when he gets back.

Hot weather cleaning can be a bit bracing 🫪 but great to hear Nibbles is doing a bit of gentle training

I am very concerned that he is still running in his wheel in this heat, he has a rest in between and lies next to the cold bottle which I placed outside of the playpen. But he is drinking, grooming and eating so I guess he feels fine. His little ears are straight up and very perky. I still worry he loves to lie on the mat and watch outside (balcony) I suppose he would be just the same if he was in the cage, but he definitely prefers the pen.
I wasn’t in the kitchen when he woke up i was watering the plants outside. He through such a hamptrum trying to get out, so i gave in….. as usual

Last night i was deeply concerned, at around 11.30 I took him out of the playpen as it was not cooling down. He had a drink, ate a bit of food and a small piece of apple and was mostly chilling next to a cold bottle. Once back he headed straight to bed, didn’t forage or drink and he was not to be seen. I stayed up until three, putting fresh ice packs down and cool mugs in the cage. I cried all night i was deeply concerned not knowing what else i could do.
This morning it has cooled down to 25 degrees and thank god he has been up and collected all his special treats and food
I have put more mugs in the fridge to cool. It’s the hottest day today, after tonight it will be better. Please pray with me that he will be okay

In case it gets worse I have set up his old cage in the cellar. I have put the hempmat and all his things from the playpen in there, it just needs water and food. I don’t know where he is at the moment but I am cooling the cage as much as I can. When he gets up tonight i will take him duwn
And stay there with him for a few hours. Depending on how he gets on, I will let him sleep there and stay until it cools down here on Monday it’s 23 degrees down in the cellar. This was advised by my vet.

The difference is Nibbles has 29 degrees. That might not sound like a huge difference but it is.
24 degrees is great for Nibbles, he had no problem with that temperature he was just normal.
