Gilbert is such a sweet, brave little chapGlad to hear that! Is there anything i can do before i get him to vet? Actually yesterday i just took him to vet again because of his eye irriration, but no worries its getting better. Him eating fishcake was yesterday photo, and the second photo i just took it moments ago and its already half opened after the ointment, but for this lump in his scent gland area is there anything i can do? My doctor is open to do online consultation , is that okay to do that only? I just came back from vet yesterday, and just noticed his lump night after it

Yes its the chat from the vet, i just gave him one dose, and yess very tiny amount. He didnt like the taste and tried to run away, but i gave him treat after, this is his condition now his eyes already fully openIs that a vet? It's a scent gland. If you haven't started the oral antibiotics yet then I would start them - it is difficult to disguise the taste but one option is to draw a tiny bit of runny honey into the syringe after the meds and then the hamster just tastes the honey. What is the dose? They are very tiny amounts usually.
As the scent glad is red and maybe a bit swollen, it could be infected also so the antibiotics for the eye could help that as well. They can get blocked.

Socks also such a sweet hammyGilbert is such a sweet, brave little chap![]()
