Higgins

Higgins seems to have a routine at night now. He runs over to the shelf and sputnik - then he spends some time in the sputnik having a wash. Then goes down to eat his veg under the shelf, then has a short run in his wheel and goes under the main shelf for a bit. Then a grooming session in the wheel, then running in the wheel a lot.

He seems to like the Sputnik :-) It's nice seeing his little face looking out. I assume he's having a good wash in there as he rummages about in it quite a bit,

The second video he has a bit of a groom in his wheel - not sure what he's doing then - he seems to lean out of the wheel doing something - maybe eating the rest of his veg?

You might need to go full screen to see him! He doesn't show up that well in the dark!

Not sure what Higgins has been up to but I found this big pile of substrate in front of his wheel yesterday 😊. Last night I got up in the night and he was out in his wheel. I went to say hello and chatted to him - he sat there for a while and then walked off under his shelf 😊. Go away human!

Maybe he is burrowing under the wheel, sounds like he's getting pretty comfy in his home. Even a cold shoulder is progress, he's not scurrying away immediately now?

I hope to do some bathtub taming next time I spot clean him :-) It's starting to get whiffy again.

Here's hoping Maz, can't wait to see when he gives you another chance at it

He looks like he’s been taking lessons from Blossom on how to create a big, random pile of substrate lol 😂

I got up in the night last night and Higgins was sitting in his sputnik, looking out. I went over to say hello and he looked horrified - turned round and gave me his back. Doing the ostrich thing I think! If I can't see her, she's not there ha ha.

Higgins rather kindly left me a pile of smelly substrate on the middle of the cage :-). It was also partly in his wheel and blocking his wheel. So that was an easy spot clean! I started to remove it and he poked his nose out of his house door a couple of times to see what was going on but then disappeared again. I suspecf he was worried about his hoard as he seemed to have hoarded some food under it - I left the food though.

He was wasn’t he 😊. Clearly I left spot cleaning a bit too long so he did it himself.

Phone correctors are so annoying! It was spot cleaning - not spit cleaning 🤣

Very nice of him to put the garbage out! I love when hams do that, always want to avoid messing with their burrows as much as possible

Higgins and Tino both had a bit of cheesy scrambled egg on a teaspoon last night. Tino was in the playpen, so I left Higgins teaspoon in the middle of his cage - he won't usually come out until lights are out.

Then I heard this banging noise coming from Higgins house. I thought - what on earth is he doing in there? And saw the teaspoon itself had disappeared! So he must have dragged the whole teaspoon into the house - hence the banging noise ha ha.

I was thinking that! So would Pip (RIP) who stashed a few teaspoons
