So happy to have found this forum!
we currently have two gerbils but we’re hoping to adopt a hamster soon and this forum has been so useful researching everything we need.
Thank you guys for all your hard work

Hi & welcome to the forum.
Lovely to hear you’ll be adopting a ham soon & are doing lots of research, look forward to hearing all about your ham when you get it.

Hello and welcome :-). Do you know which species you’re going to get? It’s great you’re getting organised first.

Hello and welcome to the forum. It is lovely to have you here. I think it is wonderful you are doing your research first.

Just to let you know, we have an 'other pet' section if you ever wanted to post about your gerbils. :)

I’ve already bought a new enclosure as it was a bargain at the time.
I’m hoping you guys think it’s appropriate for a dwarf hamster and not too small.
I’d love to know what you think…

It looks great. Some people would go bigger than that but it’s a decent size and plenty of room for deep bedding :).

To be honest it is slightly on the small size floor area wise and quite expensive for the size but many people would consider this suitable for a dwarf hamster. It wouldn’t be big enough for a Syrian hamster though.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
I'm confused by the size because 30L 30W 30H centimeters can't be right because that would be way too small. What are the dimensions of 528 sq in in in or cm?

I was just wondering the same thing.

I think it’s 30 inches.? Which is just under 80cm. But it is confusing as it says 30 x 30 x 30 (ie about 80cm square). Which would be a good size. But then the diagram shows 30 inches long by 17.5 deep. So about 79cm x 45cm.

33.2ā€ x 19.4ā€

So it’s approx 80 x 50

It is a bit odd Niteangel didn’t make it 100cm wide but it’s a very well constructed cage and would allow lots of digging space

Externally it’s about 84.5 cm x 49 cm. It’s fine. As I say some people would go bigger but it’s a decent size.

It is a good cage and yes plenty of digging space and a front opening door too. I hate to think what a 100cm one would cost! The bars on top seem to have plenty of ventilation.

That was a bit confusing until you scroll down a bit!
It’s very similar in size to something like the hamster heaven so on the smaller side but still should be fine for a dwarf ham.
Plenty of room for deep bedding & still easily fitting in a 9 or 10ā€ wheel.
I’ve never seen one used before so it will be good to see it for real all set up.

Slightly bigger than the hamster heaven overall possibly and scope for deep bedding too.

It was half price as an Amazon return so not crazy expensive and I like the straight sides and large front opening. Also access from the top is really good too
