Pretty good start, I like that you're making things with cardboard for your ham! DIY stuff is great, you can do a ton with cardboard, kids glue, and Popsicle sticks. Welcome to the forum, and congrats on getting a hamster! Hope you guys have some amazing memories together
Some suggestions (mainly more bedding xD) :
-Add more bedding until that wheel is just under the lid, and maybe build up the right side a little so they have more depth for burrowing. Great amount of floor space in that enclosure!
-Cant tell from the picture if it's been done, but bedding needs to be pushed down a bit so it can hold a burrow well. Don't see that mentioned a lot for some reason
-Make it easier to access the wheel, sand bath, and dish spot with more bedding so they can climb in easier.
-Take the tape off those boxes and use children's glue instead for safety
-Budget permitting, reptile sections in pet stores have nice items for hams to climb on or explore. Good place to find more clutter, I got two awesome logs for my late buddy that way.
-Make some hamster safe special treats once in a while! You can do a lot with some research and careful selection of ingredients, they will appreciate it a ton.
-Check out more DIY projects on YouTube and what some people have built here. You can make an amazing treat ball by cutting three rings from a paper roll and stuffing it with bedding + a treat inside. I'm adding a pick with said treat ball, a forage board, and roller toy. These types of toys provided a ton of fun, and it's simple to make them easier or more difficult depending on how your ham does
