Similar experience with Moo, who was from a rescue. I had originally been going to get a robo, then they went. And I had no idea which hamster to get so I just said - which one needs a home the most. And they said Moo - he had been there a year and no one seemed to want him because he was the colour he was
- they all preferred the lighter and golden ones. So he was over a year old when he came to me. He was a lovely boy. Never really that handleable, but very neat and tidy - a bit institutionalised
