He reminds me of my Oaky! What a cutie!
I have the same problem. I would have loved to see the picture thoughNope. Can't find it. Have to work out what year it was, which hamster it was .......... and I suspect it was 2021 during the pandemic and I didn't get round to putting photos from camera card onto computer. My photo filing isn't up to date! Some on computer, some on phone, some on camera. I will keep looking, as I can remember the photo! We had weak lambs in the house for a few years each spring so it could be any year ...............

It might work or he might decide not to go in it to be lifted out. I use a rat tube like the one linked belowI have been thinking of the best way to get Nibbles out of his cage. The Pyrex jug is too big, it won’t go through the door. He is starting to interact with me, he comes out of bed in the early evenings and mornings as soon as he hears my voice. He also comes to the door and sniffs my hand and takes treats. My friend suggested getting a little hamster sleeping bag, as her friend loves his. I would then put his evening treat in it until he gets used to it, then hold it at the door when he is ready. Does this sound okay? I will share a photo of the sleeping bag. Of course I will not leave it in his cage.

I will let you know if he likes it. It was 9 euros on Amazon and it had very good reviews. I will still wait until I get him out for the first time, as I need a playpen, I haven’t got a bathtub here only a shower and that’s not an option. I have bought a thermometer and a huge umbrella for the balcony in preparation for summer. I won’t be travelling this year so Nibbles can chew through my savingsI've seen a lot of people using one of these, they look really good, I'll be very interested in how you get on. It seems to be a nice soft and comfortable option Ness
ThanksIt might work or he might decide not to go in it to be lifted out. I use a rat tube like the one linked belowHamsters nearly always walk into a tube, especially if there's a smelly bit of cucumber or cheese at the far end! Then I have one end of the tube against my stomach and my hand over the other end, while transporting the hamster to the playpen. If it's nearby. Things like the pouch can often be better for out of cage time or sofa time as the hamster is more likely to investigate it and go in then.
There are also these Fuzzbutts snooze cubes which hamsters seem to love for out of cage time, and I have found they will walk into one of those when it's offered (once they have become familiar with it out of the cage). It's just that bit bigger.
You could try with the pouch though and if it doesn't work, keep it for out of cage time. With anything fleece, you have to watch carefully as they will try and chew it and some of them have wadding inside or stitches that can come loose. The Fuzzbutts ones don't have wadding inside and are very well stitched.
