Hi. My hamster has been creating a tall bedding mound in the middle of his cage for the past few nights. I have had to remove the bedding mound each time to keep it from blocking his wheel. Is this due to him rearranging his burrows or is he trying to secure the enterance to his burrows more? I don’t want to stress him out by removing it but also don’t want him to bury everything he has.

He could be trying to freshen up his burrow. If there is soiled bedding in the pile that smells of wee, you could remove it and leave the rest, pushing it over so it doesn't block the wheel. If you leave some fresh bedding or torn up plain toilet paper near the entrance of his burrow, he might take it into his burrow for his nest 🥰🐾
