Hello hello!! I get some of mine from pet smart and pet co. i’m in the US. Just make sure the items don’t have food/treats inside that are harmful. I see my female used to love wooden balls. I would recommend buying a pack of the balls made of different materials from amazon.
Another place I LOVE recommending to people is Happy Hamstery! They are not only ethical breeders but also they sell items! Their items are wonderful and if you buy the subscription box, you receive a bunch of items. I think you will be able to look at the most recent items since the last box is most likely on sale. The subscription boxes are $50 per box, but they only come 4 times a year. One for each season!! And the themes are adorable!! And the price for the amount you get is also wonderful.
I also heavily recommend sprays. Niteangel has good sprays, so does happy hamstery. They can be a bit pricey, which is why i like happy hamstery because in their boxes sometimes there are sprays. And the sprays can be 200 grams!! Which is a HUGE amount!!
If too many of these items are out your price range, there are some easy diy toys as well! One is a little tissue ball: get a tissue and put a bit of food inside. Then wrap with as many layers of tissue as you want! Rubbing your scent on the tissues also helps get your hammy used to you! They often use the tissues as bedding for their nest! Another is a toilet paper tube. Get a toilet paper roll, which either has no more toilet paper on it or only one or two layers left, and fold one side in by folding the top and bottom into each other and pinching. Then shake some food and tissues into the roll, and close the other side! One more which can be a bit difficult to get is thick corrugated cardboard. This one is basically a big and knock off lotus pod. You just get really corrugated cardboard and shake food into it.
My hammy also loved lotus pods, which are short cones with a wide diameter and holes in the top. (It’s the pod of a lotus, not an actual cone) Shake some food in there and the hammy has a blast trying to get the food out!
i’ll send a few pictures of cage set ups below for you to see different forms of enrichment i had for my female syrian!
