The Syrians here don't chew them up and like them. Dwarf Gertie chewed them up but she was the only one who did.

The new super big bendy tube has caused some giggles. Hams got in the playpen and started to explore around it, he ran through it a few times then came outside to see if he could climb over it and when he stood up against it the simple answer was .....nope . (I was struggling to load the photo so it’s a photo of a photo, quality a bit poor, against the small purple one, it’s huge )

Great photo! He may find a way yet to get on top of it. He's giving it some very serious thought.

Yes and if he makes it, it could be his answer to jumping over the side of the playpen I’ll be keeping a close look out.

You'll need to. They are resourceful when on a mission.
Lilly tried to climb on top of my leg tonight but was too short so she rolled a wicker tube to it, climbed on top of that and then onto my leg.

I’ve just caught Hams having a little day time venture out of his nest. He was rummaging around to see what food is still left out and about, needless to say, not a lot as I only feed him once a day early evening. I couldn’t resist but open the door to give him a little stroke which he was ok with, but as I wasn’t offering food, he didn’t stay about for long and sleepily wandered off back to bed. Cute

Just noticed the natural looking tunnel I thought I’d brought Hams says it’s plastic Doh!

It really looks like some kinda straw, even smells straw like but now I’ve googled around Amazon some of them say plastic or synthetic with only one saying grass. I know he’ll chew it so it’s no good if a synthetic lookee likee material. I’ll look again for a natural one as it says I’ve still time to return this one.

It doesn’t say anything on the packaging but not worth chancing it I think. I’ve asked the question to the seller.

I would be fooled by that too. It doesn't look plastic.

I think also where it says it won’t decay and can be used for a long time? I think that perhaps hints towards the fact it’s plastic/synthetic. It’s ok, says I’ve got plenty of time to return.
