Hagrid is gorgeous! I also love this runway shelf. Did you make it or buy it?

My father in law made it, I along with a lower platform that the wheel sits on.

He looks like a lovely big gentle Syrian and happy to be stroked in his cage - but not to be picked up thank you! He did have a “run away” moment when you took the carrot house out - but came back again for food!

Yeah he's not keen on being picked up just yet.

A lot of hamsters don’t like to be picked up, unless you have to pick them up (if they’re ill or something) it’s better to just let them climb onto your hand, or into something if you need to carry them.

Hagrid is now 5 months old. He's not the brightest spark. He hid his veg in a glass jar

Aw - I wonder why he did that. Maybe he's trying to grow some more!

I only give them a tiny bit each day so they tend to eat it straight away.

Looks quite artistic though. Like a hamster version of those little plants grown in a glass dome.

It's obviously a special place for special things.

The veggies look so cute in the jar, just like they are waiting to be picked from a veg patch.
