This is Hagrid, he is nearly 12 weeks old and I've had him for 4 weeks.

I got him from Hundred Acre Hamster Rescue near Manchester. He was one of 10 babies rescued on Xmas eve.

Taming has been a slow process but he will now sit on my hand to eat food.

He loves digging and digs in his sand bath and Coco soil a lot.

He's in a Savic Plaza which I've put acrylic sheets round to provide 10 inches of bedding.

His wheel is the marathon wheel from Rodipet.

When I get round to sorting my photos out I'll post some more!

This is his first few minutes after coming home. I was expecting him to go to sleep, but he spent 2 hours exploring first.

Hagrid comes home

Ooh he's gorgeous! Lucky boy with such a lovely home as well. I love his colouring!

I am happy you started a diary for Hagrid. He is adorable! He really enjoyed exploring when he arrived. :)

Aww, he's lovely! Looking forward to see more of him. He's lucky to have such a beautiful home.

What a gorgeous looking hamster. Great set up too.

Hello Hagrid 😍
He really is gorgeous! I love those first hours watching them excitedly explore their new home & Hagrid has a great home there.
Look forward to seeing more of him.

Hagrid is a really beautiful looking hammy.
Welcome here Hagrid and looking forward to seeing more pix!

Lovely to see Hagrid :-) He looks very gentle and isn't scared of your hand. He's really enjoying that walnut!

Aww, what a lovely video of the handsome Hagrid enjoying his walnut.

What a great video, he’s really enjoying himself, his enclosure looks fab! He’s super cute and friendly 😊

Lovely to see Hagrid, great video, he is just so sweet with that walnut.

It is so sweet to see Hagrid enjoying you petting him. He is beautiful. I can see what you mean about him loving his carrot cottage. :)

Lovely video of Hagrid, he really is enjoying you stoking him, I think all was forgiven after moving the carrot house! Great to have an update on how well things are going.

He looks like a lovely big gentle Syrian and happy to be stroked in his cage - but not to be picked up thank you! He did have a “run away” moment 😂 when you took the carrot house out - but came back again for food!

😆 He is gorgeous, and he definitely did perk up when you moved the house: "hey! What are you doing with that? Don't you dare! "
