Flower Power

Elusive - you virtually had your wish! When I was preparing lunch, H was sitting opposite the open patio door but behind a coffee table. Suddenly an indignant robin flew inside, landed on the coffee table and then flew out again. It had the desired effect - lunch was served outside at once. The mate was outside too and that often results in bolder action to gain attention! So funny.

My only worry is that we are leaving later tomorrow for a 3 generation holiday. One week only but hope the robins won’t be too cross with me and will return when we are back. Our grandson turned 3 yesterday so we anticipate a lovely but exhausting time and needing a rest afterwards!

Your robin really is getting cheeky! I would so loved to have seen that.

That is going to be one very special holiday, have a lovely time, I’m sure you will.
Robin will be demanding a very special lunch to make up for it when you get back!

That Yucca is impressive! The Fairy fishing rods look lovely. Especially with the orange background flowers. At least the pot flowers are still alive is there is a flower growing.

I hope you have a lovely holiday. Leave the Robin a note on the door and a stash of goodies :)

Is that a banana tree behind the yucca?
So glad Maestro's plant is growing again.

What a cheeky robin, haha.

Have a lovely holiday.

Yes that is a banana tree. He wraps them up for the winter to ensure survival.

Thank you for your good wishes for the holiday everyone.
Grandpa has been told he will be going down the slide into the water with grandson. Not sure that is on H’s bucket list!

To adapt Gloria Gaynor ‘We will Survive’ (think I have remembered correctly)

I've been so busy with the hamsters lately that i haven't paid much attention to the garden. To my surprise i noticed a red poppy this morning.

I cut the grass at 08.00 and briefly worried about waking the neighbours but then decided that it's time to get up.

Just as well as it rained shortly after. I love the rain in the summer so am hoping that this heatwave is not going to happen.

Hope it doesn’t get too hot for you, we’ve had lots of rain here & it looks like more to come & no heatwave thankfully.

Raining here and been cool for a few days so no signs of a heatwave here either!

Something made me smile on what would otherwise be a sad day, four weeks today that Zak went to the bridge & the first flower bud has appeared on his plant.
Quick dash out between showers so not the best shot!

A difficult four week anniversary - but a special thing too, to have that flower appear :)

Lovely to see that first flower bud out. Zak clearly wanted to put a smile on your face today elusive and send his comforting thoughts.

Updates from my garden.

The robins have forgiven me for my absence and I have been feeding them frequently as a result

Some plants benefitted from not being fussed over daily! The fuchsia is flowering so well and is a delight.
