The little tippee is Finley's portal to his underground world. I took his wheel out for a wipe over which made him surface.

Aw Finley is looking very well :-) He is quite adorable.

Finlay considering a big entrance or a retreat?!

The second photo is full of super cuteness 😍 Love that he's made the tippee his underground entrance 😃

I think Finley's eyesight is going. Robo Gordon went blind when he was around Finley's age.
I've seen more of Finley lately and watch him sometimes. I'm wondering if he can't make out that it's me, the human he does not like at all and tries his best to avoid.

Aw, he looks so well and cute. Could it be he is finally comfortable and knows you will not bother him?

I was wondering, if a hamster is blind, do they have a kind of sheen to their eyes? Finley's eyes look so bright and alert so I was unsure.

He's looking very healthy - how old is he now? Pip is quite skinny looking these days at age 2.

Finley is around 2 now. When Gordon went blind his eyes didn't look any different. I noticed when he didn't seem to notice me even when i waved my hand near him.

It's not impossible that Finley finally became more comfortable around me.

Tbh, that thought never ocurred to me, lol.

He does look quite comfortable & relaxed there as well as very cute!
He would still know it was you, by scent & sound even if he was going blind so I don’t think it’s that.
Tinwë‘s eyes looked quite normal when he lost his sight too.

I have a feeling Finley is more comfortable with you. He seems to fear being touched or having his cage touched and you rarely do that so I imagine this has made him more secure with you. :)

I am sure he's more comfortable with you. Also he's getting older and they mellow a bit I think. I have to say though, that that photo of him in the little tepee, surrounded by lots of natural things, is absolutely adorable! You should use that in the photo comp one month - slightly bigger :)

OH just told that Finley was on his wheel and run to the other side of his tank when he took the lid off to put his fresh food in. Finley didn't run away and sat and watched him!
I just checked my note book and realized that we've had Finley for 13 months and he was over a year when i adopted him so he is elderly now.
Could it really be that he finally accepted his humans as friend rather than foe in his old days?

It sounds that way to me. 😍 Robos really are umpredictable and surprising.

It does sound like it to me too, he sounds so much more chilled & trusting now.
