You will know if Finley is in any pain. He looks so well for his age and it is lovely you are seeing more of him.

Lovely to see Finley out and about, he's so sweet ☺️

Always lovely to see you Finley.

Blindness in old age isn’t that uncommon but may be unrelated to his eye protruding, hope it’s nothing too serious going on & little Finley can stay pain free & happy.

Aw, a Finley sighting! He's as distinguished looking as ever

I guess all you can do is keep an eye on the eye. He might need some Metacam though maybe?

Finley nibbling his star.
I thought he had lumps on his belly so had a look today. They are soft, fatty tissue and probably age related. Yesterday he looked a little hunched and unsteady but a little metacam seems to have helped.
He's an old man in the twilight part of his life and keeping him as comfortable as possible is my priority now.

I'm sure he'll be more comfortable with some metacam. Nugget, our first robo, had lumps and managed fine on metacam - I had to level his cage so he didn't trip over them as they hung down a bit. He did fine until he started chewing at them and then the vet said metacam wasn't enough.

Lovely to see little Finley enjoying his star, he’s really getting stuck in there.
Good to hear the metacam seems to have helped & he’s remaining comfortable in his old age.

Finley's cage is level. I tend to make small adjustments as their needs change.
There are currently a couple of things i'm observing and reviewing

There's something really special and heartwarming about having any animal into a ripe old age Finley is enjoying his twilight years with you

I put some cork pieces around Finley's sand to aid as steps but not sure he approves.

Not sure if he’s investigating it or annoyed with it! It was great to watch him either way.
Maybe give it a little while & see how it goes.

Oh yes, i'm going to leave them in to make life easier for him. If he chucks them away, i'll put the stones back in.

I was thinking of replacing this shell with something lower but he's always loved it so i'm going to leave it in.

He's testing it out real good, great to see Finley still being so active.
