Do I need to prep this somehow?

My mum brought me this huge salt pig she got from a charity shop, do I need to prep it in any way? I’ll wash with white vinegar anyway.

That looks lovely.
I think if you wipe it with white vinegar and then wash it in hot water it should be fine. It’s very nice what a thoughtful mum

Thank you! I love it, like a dinosaur egg decoration (plastikote) is looking rather girly so I’m glad hamsters are colourblind if I get a boy
