Cardboard creations

Did you guys sanitize the cardboard first? I do have a lot cardboads, however im not sure it is clean.

I’m not sure you could sanitise cardboard really, I never have, just make sure it looks clean & doesn’t have any kind of dirt or anything on it & it should be fine, make sure to remove any tape that might be on it though.

I leave toilet roll inners for a few days before using them :-) I don't think bugs can survive on cardboard more than a few days.

Just looking back at this thread, I just wanted to add that I still have this blanket :-) It's the hamster blanket and has been used for all the hamsters since. Except now it has a couple of holes (Newt chewed it through the top of the pet carrier).

That's fantastic - I love it! I used those cones/pyramids the other way up as pyramic treats for Pip (robo) :-) I can't find a photo of it but it just had seeds stuck on the outside. You can see it in black and white in this video - it's sitting in the foreground of the cage and he finds it :-)

Three easy DIY toys that have gotten great milage for Henry: his beloved forage board, treat ball, and roller toy. All you need are paper towel or toilet paper rolls, scissors, kids glue, and bedding.

You can adjust the difficulty easily, more or less bedding, and complexity with the cardboard. Henry's eyesight isn't the best, I found an easier forage board was good for him. You could add more layers and make the treats harder to get at.
