We seem to be seeing more and more hamster items made by Bucatstate so I was interested to find out more about them. It seems to be a chinese company (see link below) with quite a range of hamster products now - from cages to wheels. They all seem to have appeared fairly recently (in the last year perhaps).

It can only be a good thing that there are more suitable products for hamsters available - especially since so many German things are no longer available! And hopefully this also means hamster care and welfare in China will benefit also. I know in some countries, the choice of cages is really quite poor with only small cages available.

As they make quite a good perspex cage (but a bit on the small side), am tempted to contact them and ask them to make a bigger version!

This cage looks interesting!

They also have this perspex/plastic platform which looks interesting too! Not sure how many of these items are available easily in the Uk though.

The cage does look interesting, a bigger one might well be worth asking for.
Not so sure about the shelf, nice idea but it would be really slippy I think especially for furry feet!

I have one of their hides. It is a cute cloud hide but Orko does not like it. I am not keen on their cages but their wheels are popular.

When i bought the MouseBro wheels for the Robos, it was a toss up between those and the Bucatstate ones. I always thought it's a Korean company but never looked into it closely.

The cage is a good light weight alternative for someone who wants a tank and the big front door is great. I wonder if they do a XL version.
Their discription is very much aimed at humans though and not hamster friendly. I don't think a shy hamster would appreciate living in a fish bowl.
I'd wallpaper the tank, lol.

Very good point. I think a hamster would feel exposed.

Would that be green wallpaper? 😉

Did I miss something about wallpaper? :-) I guess one side would be against a wall usually - in that sense it's no different to any other tank.

Beryl said she would use wallpaper to cover the transparent glass panels. :)
