The glass base is really nice - its such a shame about the dimensions. We have all been there! And its great you want to get things right for her.
An 11" or 12" wheel fits really easily in a Plaza 120 - I had mine on the back wall. The cage has a big door on top as well as at the front, which makes it easy to fix things to the back bars. Or you could have it on one end. My Syrian that had the Plaza 120 actually had a 32cm wheel which was huge, and that fitted fine, but it meant I had to lower the bedding slightly in front of the wheel and have it deeper everywhere else
A tank style would be ideal (although I'd suggest not wood) if you want to be sure she won't bar chew, but they are so much more expensive and I still think its rare for them to bar chew if they have enough space in a cage to have normal behaviours at ground level.
There is this Meewoofun tank style cage for just under £100 (quote below taken from our cages article) which is more coated board than wood so less likely to chewed through - harder and thicker than wood. BUT - people say there is the odd little gap where bedding can fall through - which means it could be the odd little gap to chew at corners edges maybe.

Meewoofun also now have a version with a sloping front door, similar to the Niteangel Vista

There is never an ideal solution with hamster cages! It needs to suit the hamster, fit a budget and space available, and be something you feel comfortable with accessing wise as well. I personally love the Plaza cages for the interaction with the hamster through the bars and front door.
The Meewoofun could more easily accommodate deeper bedding though, and maybe if there were signs of chewing at corners, the corners could be reinforced somehow (although personally the idea of that kind of diy makes me shudder in case I messed it up!)
When you do decide which to get, if you get it from one of the links on the cages article, it helps fund the forum running costs! But doesn't cost you any extra. Although obviously if you find the same cage cheaper elsewhere then that would be a first choice! But some are only sold on Amazon or at Pets at Home, which are the ones with the affiliate links
Or you might decide to make an Ikea Platsa enclosure - I'll link our thread on diy cages ..........
This thread is to show options for extra large diy cages. There are a few good cages big enough, as listed on our cages thread, but sometimes people want to go bigger and then it means making a cage. Ikea Hacks can be an easy way. DIY isn't always cheap. You need to have tools available (or...
