Just wondered if anyone had seen the sea creature chews which are basically the same thing as the antos ones but something a bit different if any ham fancies a nautical theme!
Meri had a seahorse which she loved & even though I’m sure it was longer than her managed to drag into her house to keep it safe by her nest & very quickly had it’s head chewed off!
The starfish looks good too, they are quite large & you can’t choose which one unless you message the seller with your order but if mine are anything to go by they would be much enjoyed.
Rat rations sell them

or they’re cheaper at the rat warehouse

I did not imagine hamsters would like the mint in them. They look so cute. Is tomato safe? I know people say never feed baby food with tomato added.

A small amount of tomato is fine, they shouldn’t have the skins or seeds but the flesh is ok, I’ve given baby food with a small amount of tomato in no proble.

Those are so cute Elusive! The image of a hamster dragging a seahorse - lol! No I hadn't seen them before. The ingredients seem very similar to Whimzees. I noticed the mint on the ingredients list but it's right at the end so I assume it wouldn't be very much and not strongly flavoured (mint herb presumably rather than minty sweets type mint!). Elusive might know as it would smell if they were too minty! Some hamsters do like herbs but I tend to think they are often not keen on anything that smells too strong and herby. Although some might not be bothered.

Do they smell of mint or herbs Elusive? I am guessing not.

Orko likes Lucious leaves forage. It smells very herby to me. Lol.

Most of mine turned their nose up at anything herby, whether it smelled or not, but they did seem to like woody herbs - like dandelion root or burdock root - whether they ate the burdock root or not I've no idea (quite small pieces). I got the burdock for health benefits for an older hamster. I don't like the smell of some dried herbs either lol. But fresh herbs are a bit different - just leafy things! And hamsters seem to like most fresh leafy things! I used to give a bit of parsley leaf instead of veg now and then (I still would but my parsley plant died!)

Sweetie loves this! She started to chew with those when one of you guys suggested me to buy it as she wasn’t chew anything when I bought her ♥️

I would love to see Sweetie wrestling with one of those alligators lol!

I think i've seen them in one of the small independent pet shops round here. Must have another look.

They didn’t smell minty or herby at all to me soI doubt it’s much in there.

how often do you give yor hammies a whimzee? i have a russian dwarf hamster, and she gets the smallest whimzees (xs)
is there always a whimzee available?

I also have a Russian dwarf hamster. I plan on giving him one every couple of months. I am sure other members will have their own ideas.

How long does it take your hamster to finish her whimzee?

that differs a lot. one time he is gone with a week, the other time he is there for a month and she sometimes nibbles on it. I wonder if it will do any harm if it is always available.

I can understand your concerns. Perhaps you could give her a whimzee as a treat now and then. Does she like any other chews? I have dandelion root and hazelnut sticks. As long as she is eating her food that will wear her teeth down.

I let mine have one available all the time, I’ve never known one eat too much of them or come to any harm from them.

Albert (russian dwarf) has 2 different flavours in his cage so he has a choice. He nibbles on both.

Mine always have a whimzee available to them and i can't see any harm in that.
