What is the meaning behind your hamster's name? I bet there are some cute stories out there. ๐Ÿน

Oh yeah. I could quite happily go back to those days of 3 TV channels

The days when TV programmes were far better with 3 channels than there ever is with goodness knows how many channels these days. I'm on my soap box now - literally - when Coronation Street was worth watching, and all the rest. Oh happy days!

Tales of the riverbank was great.

I must see if there are any episodes on You Tube ๐Ÿ˜

There are :-) I didn't link one as, lovely as it was, it was of its' time and these days showing animals with different species would be frowned on! ie a rat and a hamster together - although we don't know how they filmed it, so maybe they weren't actually together!

Googled "How was Tales of the Riverbank made?" and here's a screenshot of what I got, some of it anyway. If you want the video, it's over to you ๐Ÿ“น๐Ÿ˜„

Interesting - so it was filmed in Canada and then dubbed in the U.K. ๐Ÿ˜Š. The voices were part of what made it good ๐Ÿ˜Š

The characters do seem to be in close contact ๐Ÿ˜ฏ Perhaps they were trained as pups to be together. It is an engaging programme but for hamster owners who understand hamster body language, Hammy does not seem too charmed with his role as the hamster "skipping happily through the woods". He seems to be acting with gritted teeth most of the time ๐Ÿ˜„ The natural beauty is lovely though and it is inspiring and enchanting ๐Ÿ˜

Not all actors do it for the pleasure. I dare say many do it for the money - or in this case an extra piece of broccoli or banana ๐Ÿฅฆ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ˜„
