It's that hectic time of year! Hope everyone is doing ok with Christmas preparations, cold weather and energy bills. So this is just a general thread to share our hectic times. Still wearing lots of warm clothes here and minimising the heating being on during the day. Christmas shopping done - tree partly up.

And whose idea was it to put live football on every night in the run up to Christmas eh? Lets have the World cup in a country which means it's live every evening in the uk. Groan. I don't mind really but ALL NIGHT?!

I don't mind it being on occasionally but it's on rather a lot at the moment.

I gave the TV away because it was in the way. I wanted the wall for a hamster calendar.

I actually watched it tonight (partly) and saw England lose to France. I shall be glad when the World Cup is over!

Yes, bizarrely - almost every night this last week - it's in a country where their day is our evening. Lovely run up to Christmas in the evenings (not). Annoyingly I now even know who is in the quarter finals.

What a very odd time of the year for the World Cup.
Is Germany still in it?

I watched the match too but at least had the Christmas tree to decorate to keep things in their proper season.
At least I won’t have to watch any more now we are out.

What are you having for Christmas dinner this year? Apparently there's a shortage of turkeys.

Just normal food for me. My partner always has a traditional Christmas meal. What will you have Maz?

Can't decide! Which is why I was asking. Normally it's turkey but thinking of something different maybe.

Funnily enough that was mentioned - but not too seriously :) . You need to be a fan of it. I just hate food shopping at this time of year!

It is a nightmare with the crowds. You could just cook your favourite meal and not be traditional this year.

I'm also thinking of the cost of having the oven on for hours! I just wondered what others do each year.
