So how many days is it now? 6th day? Another gloriously sunny day here and hot. We are lucky there is always a very slight breeze where we live. So it’s never too unbearably hot.
It’s still difficult getting to slerp with it though, and last night in the middle of the night, there was thunder and lightning woke me up. A noise woke me and I thought we were being burgled at first - it sounded like a vehicle outside. Then a flash and I thought- definitely someone out there! And then louder and more flashing across the sky and I realised it was thunder and lightning. Just to add to it, the smoke alarms in the bedroom went bananas giving out piercing noises. It does that when the battery needs changing - so had to get OH to take the battery out.
We actually ran out of water yesterday! Spring water supply. It’s gradually filling up again with a trickle but means watching usage for now.

. Apparently it’s due to rain in Sunday. Temperatures here are less hot for the next few days, which is a shame as I could have got a load of bedding dried quickly if it stayed really hot.
I think we will just have to "top and tail" until the rain comes on Sunday!
