Sprite weighed 84g so I cut back on his treats. He only gets one treat a day either a mealworm, peaflake, pumpkin seed or a sunflower seed. I weighed him today and he now weighs 87g. The scales are accurate.

Is his weight okay? He appears healthy and active. He runs on his wheel a lot.
If he's not showing an obvious roll of fat on his sides, and if you can just feel his ribs if you ever get a chance to touch him there, then he's okay. I've heard conflicting info but 70 - 80 g is the edge of a winter white/campbell hybrid being overweight. Sprite looks fine in all the pictures and videos you're sharing. I think it's good to know his weight and keep an eye once in a while on it to best help him live a full life.

Thank you. :)

Sprite took some tissue to make his nest cosy. When he goes back to his nest he always runs. It is so cute.

2 thoughts on why he either think I'm off with this you,re not having it or whoo hoo new bedding can't wait either way Sprite adorable as ever 😀

Either excitement or - nab it before it disappears! :D

Whatever Sprite is thinking, it means he acts fast!

Always lovely to watch Sprite, he looks pleased with his tissue find….always room for a bit more bedding 😊

This and when he was going around with his whimzee is absolutely adorable! He's so happy with his little prizes

My partner made a treat stick for Sprite which is just a hazelnut stick dipped in egg then dipped in Sprite's seed mix and then cooked in the oven. Sprite really likes it and has been nibbling it a lot. Here are a set of videos of how he sneaked out to nibble it and then tried to get it into his tube but it is too wide so he looks defeated and goes into his hole.

That’s a great idea for a treat & Sprite clearly loved it, he did look a bit disgruntled at the end bless him!

Aw Sprite - that's a lovely treat for him. You do have some good ideas for making treats! I want to try that! He clearly likes it.

Great idea for a treat.
I always love the way Sprite dives down into his house. It always makes me giggle 🐹💕

Looking at this angelic face you would never guess he threw a tantrum earlier because he could not have a mealworm. He wants a mealworm every day and on the days he does not get one he gets annoyed. He refused to stay in his cage or playpen, tried to chew my blanket and then once back in his cage stormed off and left his ground flax. Looks can be very deceiving.

Who me? Never!

I’m sure he’d be ok having just one mealworm a day wouldn’t he?
