Some of my Embroidery 🪡 Ness🧶

That is lovely. Now that is one thing I am no good at - sewing. I could use a sewing machine and manage buttons or turning up hems, but that was it! Nothing fiddly! So I stuck to knitting!

Lovely pictures, they are so nicely done and the colours really pop 🥰

Those are both absolutely gorgeous. The flowers standing out in 3D are very special and I particularly love the bicycle!

Thank you, I've had to learn as I've gone along. I had to research how to do a stitch then have many goes at it 🤔 it was very frustrating at times. I'm glad I did persevere. 💕💞💖 Ness

It's one of the best ways to learn - trial and error :-)

Love that one as well - it's the fact they are raised and not flat that makes them so interesting too :-)

Thank you, this one was the first one I tried to do. It was quite difficult and fiddly! I gave myself a challenge.. trying to learn stitches and watching how it was done. You had to have a tube to do the strawberry, I couldn't find one so I used the handle of one of my paint brushes ( I know bizarre) but it did the job. The white flowers were very tricky, it took a few attempts but it is very rewarding once you get it right. After fiddling with those stitches the leaves were very straightforward 😂 I think mum would be proud that I had a go ❤️🥰💞💕💖 Ness

It must be very rewarding as well :-) And a challenge is always good for us!

All this talk has made me start looking at knitting patterns and maybe planning to start that again once stepson has gone to university. A bit of a project for myself.

I was starting to knit, knitted hippy hamsters when we moved here about 10 years ago but life got in the way!

Oh wow , that sounds really good. I hope you do start knitting again. As you've probably noticed I like to be doing something. Life does tend to get in the way. The knitted hippy hamsters sounds interesting 🤔🥰💞💕 Ness

Patterns by Alan Dart. There are just a few on here, but I have the actual magazine pages - there were quite a few different ones.

I had some other patterns as well for knitted hamsters. But I'll probably knit a jumper if I start again as it's too easy to keep putting the hamster knitting down - a bit fiddly. Jumper I could get my teeth into!
