This was day 1 of the snow here - about a foot deep.

This is Day 4 of the snow - it hasn't gone away yet. It's been compacted by people driving along the lane but the lane is also very icy. Main roads are ok though and have been gritted.

Anyone else still have snow? :-) Hamsters are warm and cosy - I have an oil filled radiator on a timer/thermostat overnight.

No snow, but pretty frosty 🥶 Blossom seems cosy enough with her insulated roof 🏠

She looks to be very cosy in there. It's going to be really cold tonight - minus 7 to minus 8 apparently, where we are.

5th January no gardening today 🥶 9th January it's melted icey slush not so pretty IMG-20250109-WA0000.jpg

It does look pretty on that photo but slush isn't no :-) It's still pretty here, but a bit lethal as icy as well.

I know I'm terrified of falling I walk like a penguin in car parks don't want 30 hours waiting in A&E main roads here are clear and we are very close to a busy main road with a huge Tesco at the bottom of it not pretty but very convenient

Our Sainsburys van couldn't get up our lane today so OH had to go down with carrier bags :-) But he has an old four wheel drive for that purpose.

I’ve just watched Blossom pull all the bedding out of her toilet roll treat holder to take back to her nest. It’s pretty chilly ❄️

Mine seem ok but are being a bit pampered as I left the heating on all night on a thermostat. But then we are still a bit snowed up!

Take care all. Just very frosty here -4 has been the max so far.

Good to hear all the Hams are cosy warm during this cold spell.
