Sorry if this is short, I am in school.

I got Shaggy and I was happy and then when we got home, I had cousins over and I wanted Shaggy to adjust, and then my cousins kept trying to get him out and I told them to stop, later I went to Walmart is get some groceries and then they went up to me saying he escaped and then I found him and then later I think he escaped because of my cousins and then he escaped through a vent and got outside and froze to death (Sorry fo making this so sad)

Don’t apologise for being sad, it’s always very sad to lose a hamster in any circumstances & your experience with Shaggy was really unfortunate.
I’m sorry for your loss. it’s clear that Shaggy was loved.

You must have been heartbroken. That is very sad. I am always worried about leaving our hamsters with anybody in case anything happens. My OH has been well trained now in hamster care, in case I'm unavailable and I have a trusted pet sitter. Shaggy had a short life but he probably had fun in that short time. It's just very hard for you. So sorry. He's over the rainbow bridge now playing free with all our other hamsters who have gone to the bridge x

What's happened is very sad. I'm thinking that perhaps you're cousins did not realise how careful you need to be with a new hamster. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Shaggy will be in your memories and playing at the rainbow bridge.
