Securing front door of Bucatstate 3.0 to prevent possible escapes

Has anyone here done any extra security on the front door of the Bucatstate 3.0? The front door scares me juuuust a bit with the possibility of my future hammy squeezing through the space between the clips that close the door. I bought some baby cabinet locks to try, and also some duct tape if needed lol. And of course I might not even have a problem with him escaping, I’m just planning in case I do!

You are wise to forsee this problem as hamsters are very good at squeezing through tiny spaces, or trying to and getting stuck and proving their habitat for escape points. The duct tape could be sticky if chewed. I haven't used a Bucatstate myself. Once hammy is older and larger he/she should be OK. I hope all goes well

Hi - I really wouldn't worry about that It's true the early Bucatstate's had slight issues in the door area, but these newer versions are much better. I am sure someone who uses one can reassure you on that. Quite a few people on here have them
